Certification and Authorization SME

The Opportunity:

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We're looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your knowledge in Certification, Assessment, and Authorization (A&A) and collaborate with DoD clients and mission partners.

In this role, you'll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You will leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to DoD clients in the system assessment lifecycle of marketing core services to new customers, ensuring efficiencies with obligating customer funding to contract, scheduling assessments, and oversight of engagements from kickoff through deployment.

This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis abilities to adequately assess and inform operators, senior leadership, and commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures for NIST security guidance and security control assessment (SCA) processes using the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF). Additionally, build and maintain client relationships, drive marketing work, and support business development activities in conjunction with other leaders. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with DoD Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance(GRC)

  • 7+ years of experience with Cross Domain Solution Security Assessment process

  • 7+ years of experience with strategic engagement and communications planning, management, measurement, and analysis

  • 7+ years of experience in oversight of A&A activities in accordance with RMF and NIST 800-53 standards

  • Experience with DoD A&A process for Authorizing Officials seeking Authority to Operate for mission critical systems

  • Experience with System Engineering VEE for development, analysis, assessment, and integration of mission critical systems

  • Secret clearance

  • Associate's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with assessing organizational risks and recommending mitigation strategies

  • Experience with Security Assessment and Authorization(SA&A)and Authorization to Operate(ATO)processes

  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships

  • Ability to drive business development, including content generation on a regional basis in parallel with project delivery

  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team with people at all levels of an organization, including deeply technical cybersecurity operations personnel

  • Ability to communicate and present effectively and in a logical, structured manner with all audiences, including senior executives

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
